Kittitas Valley Fire & Rescue (KVFR) is actively seeking volunteers to join the organization! KVFR volunteers are a vital resource for the community and serve alongside full-time firefighters. Our volunteers are trained in both fire suppression and basic first aid.

Interested candidates must complete: 

1. The volunteer application and submit it to mcbridesy@kvfr.org. 

2. Attend volunteer information night on October 8th at 6 pm- Station 29 (400 E. Mountain View Ave). 

3.  Sign up for a volunteer interview at the volunteer information night. All volunteers must successfully pass a background check.

4. If selected to become a volunteer with KVFR, you are required to attend the KVFR initial Volunteer Firefighter Recruit Academy. The training runs from November 2025 to April 2026 (2x a week and occasional Saturdays).
