Independence Day is quickly approaching! As you make plans and prepare for celebrations, we wanted to share the fireworks regulations for our areas. The weather is forecasted to be warm and dry. KVFR urges everyone to practice firework safety this holiday.

City of Ellensburg:
Firework possession, sale and discharge is illegal in the City of Ellensburg.
City of Kittitas:,
Legal class C fireworks may be discharged July 4th 9:00am-11:59pm
Unincorporated Kittitas County:
Legal class C fireworks may be discharged from July 4th, 9am until July 4th, 11:59pm
Fireworks are illegal on forest lands both WA DNR and the US Forest Service
