BURN BAN IN EFFECT
The Kittitas County Fire Marshal has issued a burn ban effective July 8th, 2026, at 12:01 am for Kittitas County. No open burning is permitted. This includes yard waste piles and recreational campfires.
Things still allowed:
Propane fire pits/appliances.
BBQ's including charcoal briquettes, smokers and gas.
Campfires are allowed in approved fire rings in officially designated campgrounds only.
Please be aware that public land (Department of Natural Resources, United States Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management) have jurisdiction and authority for outdoor burning rules on those lands. Please check with responsible land managers for their restrictions.
