Kittitas Valley Fire & Rescue (KVFR) is currently utilizing Public Safety Testing (PST) to establish an eligibility list for the positions of Entry Level Firefighter/EMT and Entry Level Firefighter/PM. We are currently testing for the position of both Firefighter/EMT and Firefighter/Paramedic.

Kittitas Valley Fire & Rescue is requesting both entry-level and lateral candidates submit their PST scores by October 24th, 2022 at midnight to be considered in the testing process. YOU MUST USE PUBLIC SAFETY TESTING to apply. Qualified candidates selected to continue in the process will be contacted via email on Tuesday, October 25th, 2022 to schedule oral interviews. Oral interviews will be scheduled for the week of November 1st- November 4th. We encourage both entry-level and lateral paramedic candidates to apply. We have 5 positions to fill and we will be hiring from the list established during this testing process.
- Applicants must possess a valid CPAT assessment. If CPAT is completed through PST, your scores are automatically provided to the Kittitas Valley Fire & Rescue when you apply. If your CPAT is completed through another certified provider, upload proof of non-PST CPAT to your personal PST account. Save the file with this naming convention: CPAT-Date of CPAT test-Last Name.
- Applicants claiming veterans’ preference points in accordance with RCW 41.04.010 as amended and meeting eligibility criteria must submit form DD214 or other official military separation documentation that clearly indicates an honorable discharge from military service on or before the date filing closes.
